It’s been a long time that we’ve been in quarantine, but I hope everyone took some time to meditate on their New Life plans for the coming year, 2021.
Make this year different, make this year count. Think different, act different. Make concrete plans for what you want to do, where you to go, what you want to create, and what you want to commit to.
This could be a perfect time to get on a NEW TRACK!
Start with one thought, one word, or one action in your head that will provoke you to take that tiny FIRST step toward where you want to go. Think back on those childhood DREAMS and restart them.
A few years ago, Barbie started a new program primarily for young girls called the DREAM GAP. But I think all of us could take advantage of the basic principles.
The initial purpose was to remove the barriers that prevent young girls from reaching their limitless potential. Research shows that starting at age 5, many girls develop self-limiting beliefs and begin to think they’re not as smart and capable as boys. They stop believing their gender can do or be anything.
Well I think it’s safe to say we’re beginning to see a shift in that myth.
The DREAM GAP is involved with charity projects such as:
STEP UP, SHE SHOULD RUN, & SHE’S THE FIRST.

Most of these programs address young girls, but guess what, that inner child of all young Boys AND Girls lingers in all of us, and says we can do it too, it’s not too late and our DREAMS don’t have a shelf life.
Just thought I’d share a couple of pictures of two up and coming young ones that look like they’ll have no problem knowing their purpose and direction in life. They’ll probably reach many of their goals before they’re 10.
No doubt in my mind they have BIG DREAMS! No DREAM GAP here. Just so happens they’re cousins, can you image what they might accomplish together! Stay tuned!
Keep your eye on them. You know me, I LOVE bragging rights, so I’m sure I’ll be posting plenty of their JOURNEY and DREAMS.

So for any of you out there that left your DREAMS behind with your childhood, go dig them out and STEP UP TO RESTART!
