“THE ALL AMERICAN DREAM”

Who does 2020 belong to?                                                                                                                                                      POST 2020-02

In my previous Post I asked the question, “Whose New Year is it?”

I tried to answer the question for myself, and because Daisy List is all about Dreams, I concluded that the New Year belongs to anyone willing to put their Dreams down on paper and build a plan.

Everyone is convinced that 2020 will be different than the previous year.

New Goals, new habits, new possibilities, new romance, the list goes on and on.

But let’s face it, by February most of us fall right back into our old lane.  We end up doing, saying and thinking the same old things.

I went online to look into what other people considered their All-American DREAM.  and discovered the definition of the Dream was decidedly different for so many individuals.  Here’s a couple from the top 10 what a surprise!

For some this might satisfy all their dreams and wishes.  It’s a HUGH Mall that offers all sorts of excitement, entertainment, and consumerism.  Not “MY” American Dream.

Wikipedia, lists this as an American Dream, probably because of the words: “all men are created equal” with the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”

I definitely feel the “pursuit of happiness” is definitely an American Dream.  It’s just that we all pursue different things, and we’re all entitled to our preferences.

Now let’s talk about, “your” DREAM, which according to the Declaration of Independence is your unalienable right!

Do you know what “THAT” Dream is?  Have you written it down for 2020?

Do you have a plan?  Can you see it in your minds eye?

                          12 months             52 weeks               365 days

An entire year to at least get it started.

You CAN NOT pursue something you don’t think about.  You have to start with some thoughts, then some words, then some images and imagination.  Then put it all down on a piece of paper.  It doesn’t have to be a Daisy List journal or notebook, but put it down, use a POST IT for all I care, just put it on something!

Just make it a fun thing, but still with some actionable things to do.

Please exercise your unalienable right and pursue your DREAMS,

BECAUSE……..
