2017 CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY POST

Hello my Happy Daisy List readers,

It was a great Thanksgiving, but I’m turkeyed out, and no more turkey soup please.  I’ll soon be heading north back on Route 95 as I return to Massachusetts for Xmas.  Oh Boy!

I’ll have plenty of time during the ride to reflect on all my past XMAS holidays.   So many memories, food, fun, shopping, drinking good cheer, parties, parties, parties, and even the snow seemed like more fun back then.  But the one big thing I miss the most, is having little ones around.

I LOVED Christmas when my children were small.  I even had a ball when my nieces and nephews were small.  The Magic of the young ones believing in Santa was always the best part.  I also LOVED to take tons of pictures, every time I look at some of them now, I can tell a complete story around each and every one of them.  Don’t forget to make some beautiful memories around your holiday.

Right now this minute I’m waiting for a long-time friend to meet me for dinner and to celebrate some holiday cheer.  The place is bustling with individual Christmas parties and it just lifts me up.  It’s the end of one season and the beginning of another season. As a matter of fact, appropriately enough, the restaurant I’m in is called Seasons 52.

In the past, I’ve had the opportunity to check off so many things on my Daisy List.  Only at the time I didn’t realize it “WAS” my Daisy List.

I’ve experienced the NEW YORK XMAS TREE LIGHTING at the Rockefeller Center numerous times.  I highly recommend it.  Everyone should do it at least once in their life time if at all possible.

I’ve skated at the ROCKEFELLER RINK, only once, but I’m glad I did because no way could I manage that today.  Although you never know maybe I will try it again someday.

It was so much fun, even the falling down part.

I’ve seen the ROCKETTES at Radio City Music Hall a few times, and that never gets old.

Then there’s A CHRISTMAS CAROL which I’ve seen at least a ½ dozen times in New York and lots of other places.

The Christmas Carol production is especially GREAT for the young ones.  I had the fun experience of taking my mother to see it one year in New York, and she thoroughly enjoyed it.

And let’s not forget my ABSOLUTE favorite, the NUTCRACKERThe first time I saw it was in Boston, and I literally lost my breath!  It was so beautiful.

I have to say the NUTCRACKER production is one that I could see every year and never get tired of seeing it.

WOW, talk about a Daisy List!

If you LOVE the hustle and bustle of CHRISTMAS, add a visit to NYC at Xmas time on to your Daisy List.  It’s something you do not want to miss.  It is crowded, congested, sometimes freezing,  crazy and ABSOLUTELY beautiful.

In the meantime have a MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAY and make sure to make some special memories that will bring a smile to your face when you recall the Xmas of 2017!

Going into the New Year feels so good, a time to look forward to new beginnings.  We have so many new things coming with Daisy list.  New site, new products, new stories, so make sure you stay tuned.

By the way I’d like to invite all of you to share with my readers, one thing you checked off of your Daisy List during the Holiday season.  Come on, share them with us, and I’ll post it if you like.  I’m sure some of you have some very simple basic ones and some of you have some very unique ones.  We’d LOVE to hear about them.

Here’s hoping Santa and the Good Lord brings you everything you wish for.

(Just be careful what you wish for)

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good NIGHT

PS – Thank you for letting me share some of my beautiful past XMAS memories!

  1. Awesome reading! Makes me want to go to NYC this 2018 Christmas season. And by the way, LOVE the picture of the Gonsalves family home. Looks like something out of a magazine.
